Dissolving Yellow Sky – Fine Art Archival Print
Price range: $65 through $175
In route to Seaside, an Oregon coastal community about 90 miles west of Portland, there’s a turn off toward a very small town which has a park for enjoying nature. Along the walk, there’s a surprise: a large brick structure with an opening where presumably a door had at one time existed. Stepping inside, the (maybe) 30′ high walls are lined top to bottom with graffiti with no ceiling. Very much as I said, unexpected.
I didn’t apply any special effects to this image; it’s flowery and light and painterly texture was there as I saw it. I did move in close and set my focus on the tagged part, to accentuate with a slight depth of field blur, the colorful dissolving texture of the plants and wall. I include the unedited version in the gallery for comparison purposes.
