What is it about aging brick that I find so appealing? On walks and even while driving, I keep half an eye out within my surroundings for brick walls and old faded signs not yet gone. When I take a picture, I’m capturing something both fleeting and permanent. Brick may outlast generations, but the fading words, peeling paint, and personal associations belong to our moment. These images become quiet landmarks, reminders that impermanence doesn’t diminish beauty — it deepens it.
