About My Archival Prints

A Note On My Studio

All work — printing, framing, inspection, and shipping — is done by me personally in my Oregon studio. There is no fulfillment service involved. When you receive a print, it came directly from the person who made the photograph.

Materials, Process & Editions

What follows is everything relevant to collecting my work.

The Photographs

I photograph what stops me — the ordinary thing seen at the right moment. Intersections of light, surface, and time that most people walk past. Every image is photographed, edited, and considered before I decide whether to print it and in what form.

Limited Editions

For works I offer as limited editions, I set the number before the first print is made and don’t change it. Not because of demand — because that’s what a limited edition means. Each limited edition print is hand-signed.

Open Editions

Some works I offer as open editions — available without a set limit. These are not signed or issued in limited quantities. They are produced with the same materials, workflow, and attention as my limited edition work. The distinction is in availability, not quality.

Materials & Process

Archival pigment on Canson Infinity fine-art papers containing no optical brighteners, which fade over time. Surfaces range from smooth matte to fiber-based baryta, each chosen for depth, tonal range, and longevity. Printed with Canon Lucia pigment inks, tested for 100+ years under conservation display conditions.

Every print is individually printed and inspected in a calibrated, color-managed workflow.

Framing

Framed works are built with solid pine frames in a mahogany finish and finished with archival materials throughout. The print is mounted on 2-ply 100% acid-free cotton rag board using archival tape. A custom-cut window mat of 4-ply acid-free cotton rag board — bright white museum board — is fitted over the print. Glazing is shatter-resistant, crystal clear, acrylic blocking 98% of UV light (OP-3 UV ). The back of the frame is sealed with archival backing paper to help keep out dust and moisture.

Ready to hang.

Unframed prints ship in a clear polyethylene protective sleeve.

Shipping

Ships in 1–2 business days via USPS Priority Mail, insured with tracking. Arrives 3–5 days after shipping. Unframed prints ship flat. Framed prints ship boxed.

Care & Display

Keep away from direct sunlight and high humidity. Unframed prints store flat in archival sleeves or boxes. Clean acrylic glazing with mild soap and water using a cotton or microfiber cloth only.
