Darkness and Light Before the Storm
On our way to Pacific City along the Oregon Coast, we veered off the highway onto a narrow access road that led directly to the ocean. There, a brief stretch of coastline opened before us — raw, windswept, and perfectly timed with the shifting light of day.
I took this photograph hoping to capture not just the view, but the emotion: a blend of foreboding and beauty that feels ancient and alive. It’s the kind of scene where darkness and light meet, where solitude magnifies the rhythm of the waves and the strength of the landscape.
Printed as a museum-quality archival pigment print on fine art paper.
